Anne Frank's Diary tells the true story of young girl Anne Frank and her Jewish family who lived during this dark period of human history (1943 to 1945). Living in a society that persecuted and mistreated Jews due to ethnic hatred, the family Frank had to live like nomads, fleeing from place to place while escaping the horrors of the second bloodiest war in history. After being installed in a hideout in Amsterdam, Anne received a diary as a gift where she started to record all the remarkable moments she spent there.
From the constant fights she had with family members to the vivid description of the bombs that fell close to their hideout, her ambivalent feelings towards her mother and the period of transformation and maturation from girl to woman, the awakening of love and sexuality, unshakable faith in religion, the unusual nobility of a spirit matured in suffering, the way she found happiness in the little things of life... For just a 14 years old teenager, her ability to describe events in World War II, especially the Holocaust period, in a pure and sincere way, granted her adaptations for television and translations in several languages of her book 'The Diary of Anne Frank".
This book is so interesting that I started reading the book last night and just finished reading it this morning. Yes, it was that interesting to read. Regardless of your age, nationality, ethnicity or social class, this is a work that should be read by everyone and you will certainly not regret reading it.
